Models for disinfection and fight against Covid-19 among other viruses and bacteria
At PRITEC Electronics, a firm founded in 1980 in Alicante, with 3 factories between the provinces of Alicante and Albacete, we have been dedicating ourselves to the design and manufacture of electronic products for 40 years with extensive experience in UV (ultraviolet) equipment, both with our own brand and for other firms.
Our entire disinfection range is 100% designed in Spain and 100% manufactured in Spain. We try to supply ourselves with raw materials from Spanish manufacturers and what is not possible, from European suppliers (Italy, Poland).
Disinfection is school spaces
Focusing on the school environment, the product that best fits in schools and for which we have excellent comments from end customers who have sent it to us after having them installed for some time now, is the PFUVC15B autonomous air purifier. This model is the one that best adapts to the classroom and we are aware of several schools with it implemented and excellent results.
The operating principle is based on passing the air that drives the indoor fan through a 254nm UVC tube. UVC technology has been used for many years with more than proven results, being instantly effective against a large part of microorganisms: viruses, bacteria, fungi, spores and yeasts (annex table of studies carried out by Philips). We only use Philips tubes made in Holland or Poland to guarantee a device with maximum efficiency and with 0% O3 (Ozone) emission since other lower quality tubes can emit.

Viable costs
Maintenance is very economical and simple since the life of a tube is 9000h (3 years on 8h per day, 2 years on 12h per day). Maintenance costs for spare parts are estimated to be less than EUR 6 per year. In this case, it is a totally innocuous and 100% safe device for the user since all the active parts remain inside. A recent study by Philips together with Boston University, certifies the enormous effectiveness of these tubes against the current virus since with 6 seconds it is possible to deactivate the virus by 99% and in 25 seconds, 99.99%.
The PFUVC15B is the basic model but a more interesting version for the school environment is the PFUVC15BPG variant that internally incorporates a programmable digital clock, it only starts during the week from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. (for example) and weekends and out of hours remains off. It can be requested pre-programmed from the factory or at any time modify or add programming in a very simple way. Just like a heating or lighting programmer with which we are all more or less familiar.
